Born on October 26, 1985 in Elbassan, Albania, Donald Xhelo established hiself as a key figure in conceptual art from a very young age.

His artistic journey began at "Onufri Art High School" in Elbasan, a place where he was able to explore and refine his creative skills.

Driven by an incessant desire to understand and create, he continued his studies at the University of Fine Arts in Tirana, where he obtained a bachelor's and master's degree in Conceptual Art between 2005 and 2009.

Donald Xhelo transcends artistic boundaries thanks to an exceptional mastery of techniques and an innovative vision. His journey is marked by a constant exploration of reality, the artist and the work, forming a universe where these elements gravitate around the creator.

History, the collective unconscious and societal concerns are intertwined in his creations, allowing him to develop a unique artistic approach. He is particularly known for his ability to transform matter into emotion.

He uses a variety of materials to bring his ideas to life, ranging from gold dust, sand, wood, to fabrics. Each of these elements brings a unique texture and depth to his works, creating a visual and tactile symphony that captures attention and invites to reflection.
